| Before 2007
St. Barthelemy was a part of Guadeloupe. On the 1st of January 2012 Saint
Barthélemy ceased being an outermost region of France
and left the EU, to become an Overseas Country or
Territory of France and the EU yet the island's
inhabitants remain French citizens holding EU passports.
Saint Barthelemy uses the
Euro as their official currency somehow even
after leaving the EU in 2012. |
