Eustatius and Saba were part of the Netherlands Antilles
and were using the Netherland Antilles Guilder until their dissolution in 2010 when the
islands became special municipalities within the Kingdom of the Netherlands and now are known as BES Islands and Caribbean Netherlands. Since 1.1.2011 the US
Dollar is used as a local
currency based primarily on the needs of tourism and
