Front: Mosque of Ahmad Ibn Tulun in Cairo (884). Back: Pharaonic wall relief - frieze depicting "Bounty of River Nile" with Hapi, God of the annual flooding of the river Nile, bearing offerings. Wall relief describing daily activities. Watermark: Upper part of a statue of an Egyptian Pharaoh Thutmose III; Electrotype '5'. Security features: Vertical, segmented, windowed, 4 mm wide metallic security thread that is exposed on the front side of the banknote. Watermarked paper. Consecutively running black horizontal serial numbers on the opposite sides of the obverse side of the banknote. Predominant colour: Bluish-green. Artist: Unknown. Signature: Tarek Hassan Amer (Governor CBE, 27 November 2015–). Issuer: Central Bank of Egypt. Date of Issue: 16 December 2020. Material: Cotton paper. Printing method: Intaglio.
