Front: Head of a lion. Tractor tilling a field. Reverse: Industrial plant with three chimneys. Watermark: Tractor. Security features: Microtext. Printed and embossed anticopy key (PEAK) in a shape of Ethiopian map outline bearing numbers "50". Two black consecutively running horizontal serial numbers on the obverse of the banknote. Segmented, windowed, vertical, exposed on the obverse, 4 mm wide metallic direction-changing RollingStar® security thread with ColourShift technology, bearing demetalized monogram "NBE", "50" etc. Invisible to the eye Ethiopian numeral denominational block, the serial numbers and parts of the banknote design fluoresce under ultraviolet light. See-through registration image in a small circle. Tactile feature: There are four diagonal marks on both ends of the obverse to enable physical identification of the note for the visually impaired and the blind people. Main colour: Red.
