Security features: Consecutively running red vertical and black ascending horizontal serial numbers on the front of the banknote. Fluorescing on the obverse under ultraviolet light: the vertical serial number and the filament fibers (hairs). The symbol consisting of a fist inside of a five-angled star bearing text "GYE NYAME" ("Except God") and the filament fibers (hairs) on the reverse fluoresce in blue and yellow colours while being exposed to ultraviolet light. Solid reverse-embedded yet semi-exposed on the obverse 2,5 mm wide Galaxy® security thread that displays opposite reflections when the banknote is turned up or down vertically.
