| The Glorieuses or Glorioso Islands (French:
Īles Glorieuses or officially also Archipel des Glorieuses) are group of islands and rocks totalling 5 km² and are a possession of France. Today the islands are nature reserves with a meteorological station garrisoned by French troops (The French Foreign Legion). No private issues of the Glorieuses Islands banknotes have been detected. Naturally, if there's any activity on the islands, the Euro is used as a local paper currency. |
