Front: Hungarian coat of arms. Portrait of Bethlen Gábor (Gabriel Bethlen) (15 November 1580 – 25 November 1629), Prince of Transylvania and King of Hungary. He also was Duke of Opole. Nagyvárad Citadel in Oradea, Romania (Varadinum) also known as Oradea Fortress (Nagyváradi Vár). Back: Bethlen Gábor among his scientists, painting by Viktor Madarász. Transylvanian Thaler of Gabriel Bethlen (1621). Watermark: Portrait of Bethlen Gábor; Electrotype '2000'. Security features: Running black horizontal and vertical serial numbers. Yellow EURion constellation (Omron rings or doughnuts). Applied holographic 9 mm wide security stripe depicting portrait of Bethlen Gábor, Hungarian Arms and the denomination '2000' while on the reverse it is painted with colour-changing paint.
