Front: Great Mosque of Gattaga (Mosquée de Kaédi), Kaédi, Gorgol Region, Mauritania. Open book. Arms. Back: Richat Structure or Guelb er Richât, also known as The Eye of Africa. It is a prominent circular geological feature, an eroded geological dome, 40 km in diameter, in the Sahara's Adrar Plateau, near Ouadane, west–central Mauritania, Northwest Africa. Security features: Consecutively running black horizontal and vertical serial numbers on the obverse of the banknote. Some parts of banknote fluoresce under ultraviolet light. Artist: Unknown. Main colour: Reddish brown. Signatures: Sig.15 (R2L): Cheikh El Kébir Ould Moulaye Taher (Governor BCM, 21 January 2020 – 30 March 2022); Mohamed Lemine Dhehby (Chief Cashier - Directeur General de la Caisse; Governor from 31 March 2022).
