Front: Portraits of Andrés Bonifacio (1863-1897) and Emilio Jacinto (1875-1899). Central Bank seal. Back: Primer (Cartilla) of the Katipunan
(Kartilya ng Katipunan). The Monument to the Heroes of 1896 (Monumento sa mga Bayani ng 1896), located in front of the Vinzons Hall of the
University of the Philippines in Quezon City. It was moved here from Balintawak in 1968 as it stood in the path of the construction of the Luzon
North Expressway. Watermark: Absent. Main colours: Black, light goldenrod and brownish orange. Signatures: Diosdado Macapagal
(President of the Philippines, 1961-1965); Andrés Castillo (Governor of the Central Bank, 1961-1967).
Security features: Running serial
numbers on the obverse of the banknote. Colored filament fibres (hairs) throughout. Artist: Unknown. Issuer: Central Bank of the Philippines.
