Front: Ornate column and arches. Coat of arms depicting sailboats, palm trees and crossed swords. Ornamental and floral designs. Reverse: Native birds of Qatar: Crested lark (Galerida cristata); Eurasian bee-eater (Merops apiaster); Lesser sand plover (Charadrius mongolus). Ornamental designs. Watermark: Falcon's head; Electrotype '1' in Western and Eastern Arabic. Security features: Horizontal red and black serial numbers on the obverse of the banknote. Invisible to the eye coloured filament fibers (hairs), the serial numbers, parts of the design and the hi-lite '1' denomination block fluoresce under ultraviolet light. Windowed on the obverse 1 mm wide silver metallic security thread bearing repeated demetalized text "QCB 1". Tactile feature: Intaglio denomination '1' on the obverse. Main colours: Blue and dark brown. Artist: Unknown. Engraver: Unknown. Signatures: Abdullah bin Saud Al-Thani (Governor, May 2006–); Ali Shareef Al-Emadi (Finance Minister, June 2013 – May 2021).
