Watermark: Dr. John Garang de Mabior; Electrotype "5"; Reinforced cornerstones. Predominant colour: Red. Security features: Locally watermarked paper. Windowed 1 mm wide vertically positioned security thread with demetalized 'Bank of South Sudan 5'. Coloured filament fibers (hairs), hi-lite block with denomination "5" and parts of the design of the note fluoresce while being exposed to ultraviolet light. 11 mm wide golden band with vertically repeated denominations "5". Consecutively running red vertical and black ascending horizontal serial numbers on the front of the currency banknote. Issuer: Bank of South Sudan.
