Front: Effigy of Dr. John Garang de Mabior (1945 - 2005). Dinka warrior spear. Back: East African oryx antelope (Oryx beisa) with a calf. Oil derrick (drilling rig). Watermark: Dr. John Garang de Mabior; Electrotype "20"; Reinforced cornerstones. Predominant colour: Brown. Security features: Locally watermarked paper. Windowed 3 mm wide vertically positioned color-changing security thread with demetalized 'BSS 20'. Coloured filament fibers (hairs), hi-lite block with denomination "20" and parts of the design of the note fluoresce while being exposed to ultraviolet light. 13 mm wide golden band with vertically repeated denominations "20" on the reverse. Consecutively running red vertical and black ascending horizontal serial numbers on the front of the currency banknote. Main colour: Brown. Signatures: Hon.
