Obverse: Effigy of President Ali Hassan Mwinyi (1925–). Coat of arms depicting male and female holding elephant tusks. Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) with cubs. Ornamental guilloche pattern, lathework and lintels throughout the banknote. Reverse: Two male fishermen carrying large fish with sailing fishing boats in the background. Watermark: None. Security features: Consecutively running black horizontal and red vertical serial numbers on the obverse of the banknote. Solid, fully embedded, vertical 1/2 mm wide security tread. Denomination '200' hi-lite block and the vertical serial number fluoresce when exposed to an ultraviolet light. Tactile feature: N/a. Main colours: Black and orange. Signature: Jakaya M.
