| Front: Portrait of Antonio José de Sucre (1795 - 1830), Venezuelan independence leader who served as the fourth President of Peru and as the second President of Bolivia. Sucre was one of Simón Bolívar's closest friends, generals and statesmen. Scene from The Battle of Ayacucho (by Venezueland painter Martín Tovar y Tovar (1827 - 1902)), in Peru, which ensured the independence of South America in 1824.
