Front: Female farmer with traditional vietnamese Non La hat holding a sheaf of rice with a male farmer carrying a hoe. Ornamental draconic guilloche pattern and denomination rosettes. Back: Entrance gate to Le Van Duyet Temple near Saigon (now HoChiMinh). Watermark: None. Signatures: Tu Van Quy (Cashier - Thu-Quy Trung-Uong); Nguyen Van Dong (Chief Inspector - Tong-Kiem-Tra). Main colour: Red. Security features: Running serial number and series in blue ink on the front of the banknote (fluoresces yellow). Coloured planchettes (dots) scattered in paper. Wide vertical strip on the left side of the obverse fluorescing under ultraviolet light. Issuer: National Bank of Viet-Nam (Ngân-Hàng Quôc-Gia Viêt Nam). Date of Issue: 12 March 1962.
