Front: Pursued as a portrait of Johan Anthoniszoon "Jan" van Riebeeck (21 April 1619 – 18 January 1677), yet presumably someone else, named as Bartholomeus Vermuyden (painting by Dirck Craey). Springbok antelope. Zebra. Baboon. Bull. Vines. Woman with child carrying a vessel on top of her head. Reverse: Conveyors at a gold mine. Signature: Dr. Michiel Hendrik de Kock (in office from 1st of July 1945 to 30th of June 1962). Watermark: Portrait of Jan van Riebeeck.
