Front: Coat of arms held by a kangaroo and an emu. H.M. Queen Elizabeth II in the regalia of the Order of the Garter (based on a 1964 photograph by Douglas Glass). Reverse: Representations of Aboriginal art based on bark painting by Indigenous Australian Yolngu artist David Malangi Daymirringu and Aboriginal rock carvings. This particular artwork describes the 'mortuary feast' of Gunmirringu. Watermark: Captain James Cook in profile. Security features: Watermark. Running serial numbers. Metallic security strip near the centre of the banknote. Main colour: Brown. Artist: Gordon Andrews (1914-2001). Artistic advisor: Russell Drysdale. Engraver: Gordon Andrews.
