Front: Portraits of Juana Azurduy de Padilla (1780 - 1862), a female guerrilla military leader from Chuquisaca, a patriotic fighter for independence of Bolivia; Alejo Calatayud (c.1705 - 1731), a Mestizo silversmith from Oropesa, Cochabamba province, and Antonio José de Sucre y Alcalá (1795 - 1830), a President of Bolivia. National Mint of Bolivia (Casa de la Moneda) in Potosí, Bolivia. Back: Cataratas Arco Iris (Rainbow Falls), Rio Paucerna, Parque Nacional Noel Kempff Mercado, Bolivia. Blue-throated macaw or Paraba azul (Ara glaucogularis). Flor Patujú (Heliconia rostrata). Denomination '100' as a registration device. Watermark: Portrait of Juana Azurduy de Padilla, a rampant horse and electrotype '100'. Security features: Vertical, segmented, windowed, 4 mm wide metallic security thread that is exposed on the front side of the banknote. Watermarked paper.
