Front: Former King of Bhutan Jigme Dorji Wangchuk (1929-1972). Khorlo, the Wheel of Dharma (Dharmachakra), one of the eight auspicious signs (Tashi Tagye, Sanskrit: Ashtamangala). Back: Punakha Dzong (also known as Pungthang Dewa Chhenbi Phodrang ("The palace of great happiness or bliss"), the administrative centre of Punakha District in Punakha. Watemark: Successor Jigme Singye Wangchuk. Security features: Watermark. Embedded solid 0.75 mm wide vertically positioned security thread. Consecutively running black horizontal serial numbers on the obverse of the banknote. Security fibres, denominational block and parts of the reverse fluoresce while exposed to an ultraviolet light.
