Obverse: Mount Everest (Chomolungma). Kasthamandap temple at Maru in Durbar Square in the old central Kathmandu. Old coin. Reverse: Himalayan mountains with Chomolungma (Sagarmatha) in the center. Yaks (Bos grunniens). Nepal Rastra Bank emblem. Watermark: Rhododendron flower - National flower of Nepal. Security features: Consecutively running black horizontal serial numbers on the obverse of the banknote. Solid, fully embedded 1 mm wide metallic security thread. Invisible to the eye hi-lite numeral '5' and Mt. Chomolungma on both sides fluoresce under ultraviolet light. Main colours: Shades of red: lilac, pink. Signature: Maha Prasad Adhikari (Governor, 6 April 2020 – 8 April 2022). Artist: Unknown. Issuer: Nepal Rastra Bank. Date of issue: 2020. Material: Cotton fiber paper. Printing method: Intaglio.
