Remark: When the note designer Peter Kien first presented his designs to SS-Gruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich they were rejected, because the designs depicted Moses with "too Aryan" facial features. The notes were then modified to depict Moses with more stereotypical Semitic features. The project was to match the Nazi vision of Jewish appearance. The final design of the note depicts Moses with a hooked nose and curly hair. Another request from Heydrich was that Moses' hand should cover the Sixth Commandment (that is, "You shall not murder" - לא ארצח - "lo tir-tzach").
Texts: Quittung über Hundert Kronen. Wer diese Quittung verfälscht oder nachmacht oder gefälschte Quittungen in verkehr bringt, wird strengstens bestraft. Theresienstadt, Am 1. Jänner 1943. Terezín, Czech Republic.
