National shield of Mexico (Escudo Nacional de México). The coat of arms depicts a Mexican golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus devouring a rattlesnake. Back: Benito Juárez Hemicycle, a Neoclassical monument located at the Alameda Central park in Mexico City. The statue of Juárez is flanked by marble Doric columns. Benito Juarez seated with two allegories behind him: one represents the homeland crowning Juarez with laurels; the other one represents Justice.
